Rosary of the Child Jesus and devotion to the Little Jesus
Among the forms of devotion to the worship of the miraculous Child Jesus of Prague, there is nothing better than the devotion of the little rosary of the Child Jesus. This devotion was entrusted to us by Sr. Margaret of the Blessed Sacrament. That worthy daughter of St. Theresa died in the voice of holiness in 1648. at the age of twenty-seven. She became known for her devotion to the Child Jesus and for spreading the same devotion.
Inspired from above, she made a rosary consisting of 3 Patron Saints in honor of the Holy Family and 12 Hail Marys in honor of the first twelve years of Jesus ’Childhood. Jesus revealed to his faithful worshiper how pleased he was to spread this devotion. He showed her in one vision that little rosary whose beads were illuminated by supernatural light. He promised her that those who wore and prayed this rosary devoutly would preserve their purity and innocence.
During the time that Sr. Margaret lived, by praying this rosary many miracles and graces of spiritual and temporal were obtained. The child Jesus gladly listens to the souls who pray this rosary and royally rewards those who spread this piety.
Sr. Margaret recommended that everyone wear and pray this rosary of the Child Jesus as a sign of the greatness and innocence of Jesus in the manger and as a strong thread that connects us to him. In the pattern the priest prays as he blesses this rosary, he says, “Lord, of all those who wear and pray this rosary in honor of the 12 years of Jesus’ holy childhood, remove the devil who sows evil, cast out enemies of soul and body, keep them from all evil that arises from human nature, keep them permanently and help them to come to eternal life happily. "
Let this rosary be prayed with piety and faith, especially on Mondays when the Prague Little Jesus is celebrated every 25th of the month, for it is the day of the glorious Incarnation and Birth of the Son of God. “This day is celebrated for the great graces that the Divine Child has endowed us with because he wants to give himself away,” says Blessed Sr. Margaret of the Blessed Sacrament.
